Tribute to a Friend

James Andrew Atkinson, a dear friend and much admired colleague at SNP Technical Services, Inc., died unexpectedly on Monday, August 27th at the age of 70 years. With over 40 years of experience as a mechanical designer and construction coordinator, Jim was an instrumental force in the design, development and delivery of many important industrial and manufacturing facilities for Chrysler, Ford, GM, American Axle and many other corporate clients.

An acknowledged expert in complex process systems, Jim was most recently involved in designing energy conversions and upgrades at the Chrysler Windsor Assembly Plant. His colleagues and clients at SNP offer their sincerest condolences to his family and friends. He will be sorely and deeply missed by us all for many reasons, but especially for his encompassing wisdom, extraordinary wit, tireless championing of cost effective design and construction solutions, not to mention his honesty, loyalty and unselfish mentoring to young engineers.

Rest in peace, Jim Atkinson.
